Manhattan Kickers Storm Virginia Tournament

My son’s soccer team, Manhattan Kickers ‘96, is off to Virginia to play in The Jefferson Cup Showcase Tournament. The Jefferson Cup is one of the top 3 tournaments in the nation, so the boys are expecting some great competition. If I bet which I don’t, my money would be on the Kickers!

Update: Storm was indeed the right word! After a ten hour car ride through snow and sleet, we finally pulled into Richmond. The following day the boys played two games winning 7-0 and 1-0 respectively. On Sunday, the boys again won their semi 2-1, and then went on to lose in the finals 1-6. Overall, it was a great showing at a premier tournament.
